PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote starting device for a vehicle adapted to start remotely an engine according to a state of the vehicle. SOLUTION: When this device receives a starting signal of the engine, the device outputs a signal corresponding to an operation of an ignition switch to a connection line connecting the ignition switch with a control circuit of the engine for starting the engine. A temperature sensor adapted to detect a cabin temperature is mounted thereon for changing an idling time (step 120) according to the detected temperature by the temperature sensor (step 110) to stop the engine after passing the idling time. If a remote starting condition of the engine is not met, the engine is stopped even before passing the idling time.
