PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater made of carbon fiber in which electric contact between the power feeding part and heating element can be made more steadily without occurrence of breakage of the heating element at the conduction of electricity and fall-out of the heating element from the feeding part. SOLUTION: The heater is constructed of (a) an outer case (1) which has an heating element housing space (3) of non-oxidizing atmosphere inside and is formed with an airtight seal part (2) at the end portion, (b) a heating element (4) made of carbon fiber which is housed in the above heating element housing space (3) and both end portions (5) are embedded in the above airtight seal part (2), and (c) a feeding part (6) of which one end is embedded in the airtight seal part (2) and connected to the embedded end portion of the heating element (4) and the other end is led out to the outside from the airtight seal part (2).
