PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the total size of a connector including a mate connector small. After a female terminal metal fitting is inserted into the cavity, the retainer 40 is pushed in along the guide rib 33, and the front edge of the side plate 45 touches the front edge of the slide contact surface 29, and the locking protrusion part 36 fits into the locking hole 50 and held at the proper locking position. Here, the female side terminal metal fitting is locked doubly.
