PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a latch means on a trip unit side when the latch means on a opening/closing unit side is operated, related to a circuit breaker wherein the opening/closing unit and the trip unit comprise the latch means, and the latch means on the opening/closing unit side is operated when the latch means on the trip unit side is operated. SOLUTION: When a 2-stage latch means, including a trip lever 22 and hook 23 as well as a hook 23 and hook receiver 24 which are included in an opening/ closing unit is operated, a trip drive end 23d of the hook protrudes to the trip unit side, and operates the trip unit through an opening/closing unit trip relay lever 54 provided to the trip unit.
