<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute equally air to each cylinder of an internal combustion engine for reducing air resistance with excellent vehicle loading performance and for improving filling efficiency of an air volume according to an operating state of the internal combustion engine to restrict rambling noises (air intake noises). SOLUTION: This air intake device for the internal combustion engine 10 is formed with a throttle passage 11 on an upstream side, an air connector 12 in its downstream side, a surge tank 14 and an air intake manifold 16. An opening 13 of the air connector 12 along a longitudinal direction of a side wall face of the surge tank 14 is formed on a wall face corresponding to a position approximately in the center of the opening of the surge tank 14 of the air intake manifold 16. Thereby air can be distributed equally to each air intake manifold 16 and isometry of passage lengths can be achieved for restricting the rambling noises. The air intake manifold 16 surrounds approximately an outer wall face of the surge tank 14 for securing the appropriate passage length so as to obtain the filling efficiency of the air volume according to the operating state of the internal combustion engine 1 to improve an engine output.</p> |
