METHOD FOR PRODUCING OPTICAL TRANSMISSION LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing an optical transmission line using photo-curable resins. SOLUTION: An optical fiber 1, a liquid mixture 2 of photo-curable resins 21, 22 which photopolymerize with different polymerization patterns, and a transparent vessel 3 are prepared. The photo-curable resins 21, 22 do not copolymerize and photopolymerization initiators used for curing the resins are different from each other in activation wavelength. The activation wavelength of the photopolymerization initiator for the photo-curable resin having a higher post-cure refractive index is longer than that for the photo-curable resin having a lower post-cure refractive index and only the photo-curable resin having a higher post-cure refractive index is cured with light of a wavelength between the two activation wavelengths to form only a core. Both the photo-curable resins to be converted to a clad are then cured to form the objective optical transmission line.
