PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus that can stop turn of an end plate 22 against a chassis 21 steadily and enhance assembling property. SOLUTION: The end plate 22 is combined to the end of the chassis 21 and a semi-circular engaging projections 38 cut and raised in the end plate 22 are engaged to a semi-circular engaging supports 30 set in the chassis 21. By engagement of the engaging supports 30 and the engaging projections 38, the chassis 21 and the end plate 22 are fixed temporarily, and then the chassis 21 and the end plate 22 are fixed in ease by a fixing method 28. The engaging portion of the engaging supports 30 and engaging projections 38 and the fixing method 28 stops turn of the end plate 22 against the chassis 21, the space between lamp sockets 12 mounted at both ends of the end plate 22 may be constant.
