PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for evaluating the dynamic deviation of the number of valid bits of an analog/digital converter for providing the new number of valid bits, by analyzing a relation between the number of valid bits and the dynamic deviation value. SOLUTION: Dynamic deviation is defined as a new surveying variable to be presented, and made available for evaluating the dynamic performance of an analog/digital converter. Thus, it is possible to present a model related with a relation between dynamic deviation distribution and input frequencies, and to predict the number of valid bits of the analog/digital converter whose input frequencies are relatively high even under a situation that this device is not provided with any high quality signal generator capable of performing high speed and excellent analysis.
