PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary transmission capable of securing the smooth change of ring gears by separating the timing of reset and the timing of power cut-off and contributing to the maintenance of parts around the ring gears. SOLUTION: The timing of reset is separated from the timing of power cut-off, that is the timing of return of a trigger 21. After the power cut-off, the reset is executed after the energy of rotary motion with the inertia of the ring gears is sufficiently relaxed. Therefore, deformation, breaking, abrasion of related parts caused by the collision of a selective engagement member 15 and the ring gears 8 or such a malfunction as chattering or the like can be securely prevented.
