PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothed belt maintaining wear resistant property and tooth-breaking resistant property for a long time and having a longer traveling life under very severe conditions such as high tension at high temperature and a high load at high temperature. SOLUTION: In the toothed belt 1 having a plurality of a toothed portion 2 arranged along the lengthwise direction at predetermined intervals and a back portion 4 laid in a core wire 3 and also covering tooth cloth in the surface of the tooth portion 2, a rubber composition, in which nitrile rubber hydride is made a base material and polymer alloy of nitrile rubber hydride and fluorocarbon resin are combined together and the weight ratio of nitrile rubber hydride and fluorocarbon resin is 97:3 to 80:20 respectively, is used in the tooth portion 2.
