PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for a steering column and a bearing device using the bearing capable of smoothly bearing a column shaft and smoothly conducting a steering operation exerting no influence on the accuracy of the size of the inside diameter of an sliding area of an inner bush. SOLUTION: The bearing device 20 for a steering column comprises an outer bush 21 made of a synthetic resin having elasticity, the bearing 24 comprising the inner bush 22 inserted in and held by the outer bush 21 and a synthetic-resin made sleeve 23, a pipe-shaped housing 25 into which the bearing 24 is fixedly inserted, and the column shaft 26 borne to the inner bush 22 composed of a cylinder bush.
