PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a brake shoe capable of easily protecting a regenerating product of the brake shoe from producing a faulty product in strength caused by insufficient plate thickness. SOLUTION: The brake shoe 11 of a drum brake apparatus provides a rebuilt limit detecting means 17 vanishing when plate thickness of a rim 13 and a web 15 reaches a serviceable limit by means of shot blasting upon replacing a lining on the surface of at least one of the rim 13 and web 15.
