PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device that picks up an object in a short time without increasing the cost even when the light quantity of the object is subject to change. SOLUTION: A controller 14 sets a plurality of exposures when outputting one image externally to an image pickup section 11. The image pickup section 11 picks up an object by each setting of the exposure to generate image data. An image processing section 12 compresses the image data to supply the compressed image data to a size comparator 13. The size comparator 13 outputs the image data having the largest data size among the image data sequentially received from the image processing section 12. |
