PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply provided with a soft start function of a low price structure. SOLUTION: This high-voltage power supply comprises a transformer, a first switching means for driving the transformer, an oscillator for supplying a drive pulse to the first switching means, a means for outputting a secondary voltage of the transformer through the rectification and smoothing process, a means for detecting an output voltage, a means for comparing the detected voltage with a target output voltage and a means for the constant voltage control of an output voltage using a second switching means, based on the voltage comparison result. When this high-voltage power supply is driven to start up, the soft start is assured by changing the duty ratio of the frequency of a pulse supplied to the first switching means from the oscillator, or both of the duty ratio and the frequency thereof, from the values in the ordinary operating condition. |
