PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ticket providing and using method for providing a ticket to a user by use of a portable information terminal and using the provided ticket in a site, and a system therefor. SOLUTION: A ticket issuable server or ticket issuing machine issues the ticket requested through wire or radio wave by use of the portable information terminal in a form of electronic ticket, and the information related to the issued ticket is stored in the information terminal. When the related information to ticket stored in the portable information terminal is transmitted to a ticket authentication/entrance processor through wire or radio wave, the ticket authentication/entrance processor performs an inquiry through the ticket server issuing the ticket to determine the entrance of the user of the information terminal.
