<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the power consumption from increasing due to the through- current of a scanning driver circuit, to make the scanning drive circuit possible to be constituted on the same glass substrate as a liquid crystal matrix, and to make forming the MOS transistors constituting the circuit formable out of a high performance one with polycrystal silicon. SOLUTION: Gate signal lines (scanning signal lines) G1-G12 for driving the liquid crystal matrix are divided into a 1st block-a 3rd block, and each of the gate signal lines G1-G12 is collected for each block via MOS transistors 8-19. The MOS transistors 8-19 as switches are arranged in a matrix form, and sequentially drive the gate signal lines G1-G12 by the signals of address lines and multiplex lines. The illustrated scanning driver circuit including a level shift circuit 20 is composed of polycrystal TFTs, and can be formed on the same glass substrate as the active matrix liquid crystal.</p> |
