PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a weight saving and a critical design, etc., by controlling the dispersion of an axial force when a screw is tightened. SOLUTION: This screw tightening method tightens and loosens when the screw is tightened. The axial force is calculated based on tightening and loosening torque then. The screw is retightened until a target torque is obtained as monitoring the axial force. The axial force is preferably calculated by the following expression: Fs=π/P×(Tf-Tl), Fs: An axial force, P: A screw pitch, Tf: A tightening torque, Tl: A loosening torque.
