BLADE FOR FORMING CERAMIC CAPILLARY RIB

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a ceramic capillary rib in a few processes simply and accurately without wasting material. SOLUTION: A paste film 11 is formed by applying paste on the surface of a substrate 10. A blade 12 or the substrate 10 is moved in a fixed direction in a state such that a comb tooth formed on at least one part of the periphery of a blade 12 is sticking into the paste film 11. Then, a ceramic capillary rib 13 is formed on the surface of the substrate 10. The paste includes 30-95 wt.% of glass powder of glass/ceramic mixed powder, 0.3-15 wt.% of an organic binder and 3-70 wt.% of a solvent, a plasticizer and a dispersing agent. It is desirable that the ceramic capillary rib 13 on the substrate 10 has an aspect ratio of 2-10. The depth (h) of the blade 12 is 0.03 mm<=(h)<=1.0 mm and the relationship between a pitch P and a clearance w of the blade 12 is w/P<=0.9. The ceramic capillary rib 13 is separated from the surface of the board 10 and formed on an insulating layer.
