PASSING OBJECT COUNT DEVICE AND COUNT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passing object count device and count method capable of reducing a calculation amount and executing high-speed processing. SOLUTION: This passing object count device has a first image-pickup device 11 opposite to a plane 2, picking up an image of a passing object 5 passing a reference line 1 on the plane 2 along the plane 2; a second image-pickup device 12 parallel to the first image-pickup device 11, opposite to the plane 2, picking up an image of the passing object 5 passing the reference line 1 after a prescribed time from a picking-up time of the first image-pickup device 11; and a comparison calculation part 13 comparing the first image of the passing object 5 picked up by the first image-pickup device 11 with the second image of the passing object 5 picked up by the second image-pickup device 12 after the prescribed time, and obtaining depth positional information crossing the plane 2 of the passing object 5 and speed information in an advance direction parallel to the plane 2, crossing the reference line 1.
