PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a conventional problem of increased number of assembling processes, a problem caused by the inability of positioning the polarizing and transmitting direction of a polarizer on the incident side of an optical isolator element and by the resultant variance of the aligning time, depending on the manner in which an isolator attached-optical fiber pigtail is set in an assembling aligning device. SOLUTION: On the end face of an optical fiber holder, there is provided the optical isolator element in which at least one polarizer and at least one Faraday rotor are integrated, with a magnet arranged around the optical isolator element. Then, the magnet or the holder is formed with a marking part that indicates the polarizing and transmitting direction of the polarizer on the incident or outgoing side of the optical isolator element.
