PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which realizes favorable uniform distribution state of electrophoretic particles in a disperse system, even if minute electrophoretic particles are used, and which has improved resolution and contrast composed with the conventional one. SOLUTION: By applying vibrations from outside to electrophoretic particles, which adhere to a substrate and cohere to each other in a disperse system during the manufacturing process, the electrophoretic particles are expedited to be stripped off the substrate, released from cohesion and dispersed in the disperse system, and thus distributed uniformly.
