摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a digital recorder for displaying a recoding speed to record the encoding data string of a digital broadcasting and also changing-over the recording speed. SOLUTION: The recorder is constituted of a bit rate detecting circuit 6 for detecting the bit rate of the encoding data string of the digital broadcasting, a system control part 7 for selecting the speed to perform recording on a magnetic tape, a remaining recording time measuring part 11 for calculating a remaining recording time and a display part 12 for displaying the recording possible speed and the remaining recording time. Then changeover is performed to the desired recording speed.
