PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of withstanding printing on a large number of sheets by reducing the abrasion loss and surface roughness of a photosensitive layer without impairing superior electrophotographic characteristics. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor contains a polycarbonate copolymer containing repeating units of formulae [I] and [II] as a bonding resin and at least one compound of formula [IV] or [V] as an electric charge transferring agent in a photosensitive layer.
