PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a molding die for an optical connector ferrule that makes positioning of the die easier. SOLUTION: A second movable die 6 is for forming the columnar ferrule- connecting part that has nearly the same outer diameter as the internal diameter of a cylindrical split sleeve. A third movable die 7 is for forming the ferrule tip end that has a columnar shape from the base end to the middle part and a truncated cone shape taperingly from the middle part to the tip end. The cavity 14 of the third movable die 7 is formed with a smaller diameter than the cavity 10 of the second movable die 6.
