PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform positioning with high accuracy and to make the whole device thin with respect to a turntable for positioning a disk-shaped recording medium having a center hole of a prescribed size on a disk mounting surface and clamping the recording medium, and a disk drive device using the turntable. SOLUTION: A disk-shaped center projecting part for making the center hole of the disk-shaped recording medium fit and supporting the center hole is provided projectingly at the center part of the disk mounting surface of the turntable, a plurality of clamp pawls are provided in the center projecting part in a freely movable way in the radial direction of the center projecting part, urging means for urging repulsively the points of the clamp claws are also provided so as to make the points project from the outer circumferential face of the center projecting part, pressing members for pressing the fitted and supported disk-shaped recording medium in a diameter direction are provided on the outer circumferential face of the center projecting part, and projecting parts on which the inner circumferential edge of the disk-shaped recording medium pressed in the diameter direction is contacted are provided at positions which are on the outer circumferential face of the center projecting part and face each other across the pressing members and the center shaft of the turntable.
