PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a lithographic printing plate that a lithographic printing plate using an emulsion layer with a low binder ratio to silver halide is free from deterioration in the printing property after the plate is stored for a long time and to provide such a method for plate making that even when the use amount of a developer is decreased, DTR(diffusion transfer) development can be efficiently performed and that even when a lithographic printing plate after stored for a long time is used, the amount of the waste developer can be reduced to substantially zero or extremely small. SOLUTION: The lithographic printing plate has a silver halide emulsion layer containing a binder by <=70 wt.% to silver halides in terms of silver nitrate on an anodically oxidized aluminum supporting body and uses a silver complex salt diffusion transfer method. In this printing plate, the silver halide emulsion layer contains 0.01 to 0.25 mol of hydroquinone or its derivatives per 1 mol of silver halides. In the plate making method of a lithographic printing plate, a developer is applied on the plate face of the above lithographic printing plate. |
