<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical wavelength demultiplexer having a flat passing band which is small in loss and is excellent in a crosstalk characteristic. SOLUTION: The optical wavelength demultiplexer is provided with a substrate 30, at least one input waveguide 32 formed o the substrate, an optical power distributor 34 connected to the input waveguide, an array waveguide diffraction grating 36 having a plurality of channel waveguides 42 having different optical path lengths connected to the optical power distributor, an output slab waveguide 38 connected to the array waveguide diffraction grating, and two or more output waveguides 40 connected to the output slab waveguide. Wavelength multiple light inputted from the input waveguide is separated into light having different wavelengths and is outputted from the output waveguide.</p> |
