摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a less expensive organic EL display device by enabling a large-area patterning which is hardly attained with a conventional patterning method for conventional organic EL display device and improving productivity in the manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the organic electroluminescent element with at least a translucent anode layer 2, a luminescent layer 3, and a cathode layer 4 laminated in turn on a translucent substrate 1, comprises at least a process of laminating a translucent anode layer 2, a luminescent layer 3, and a cathode layer 4 in turn on a translucent substrate 1, a process of exposing a photosensitive adhesive layer 6 into a given pattern, a process of bonding photosensitive adhesive layer 6 on the cathode layer 4, and a process of peeling off the adhesive layer 6 and forming a pattern at least on the cathode layer.
