PURPOSE: A method is provided to prevent corrosion and environmental pollution and enable lightness of the rear cover by manufacturing parts for automobile such as the rear cover of the power steering pump by aluminum die casting using a salt core. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing a rear cover of a power steering pump which is assembled into a housing of the power steering pump to function as a passage transferring oil into the pump, the method for manufacturing the rear cover of the power steering pump by die casting using a disposable core comprises the steps of manufacturing dies(22); mounting a core into the dies(26); and die casting the materials by injecting molten aluminum into molten metal in the dies(30), wherein the rear cover is manufactured under the conditions that a material of the aluminum alloy is ADC12, a temperature of the molten metal is about 660 deg.C, and a temperature of the dies is 200 deg.C.
