PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving mechanism which can bring two sub groups close to each other and separate and integrally and smoothly move them with a simple configuration, without causing mutual interferences of guide parts. SOLUTION: The lens driving mechanism is provided with a direct advance guiding mechanism for a second lens frame which is formed between a second lens frame and a support frame and which controls the turning of the second lens frame and the support advancing movement in the optical axis direction, a means which brings a first lens frame and the second lens frame close to each other and separates them by relative turning to the support frame of the second lens frame, and moves the first lens frame and the second lens frame to an approach position and a separation position in both turning ends of the second lens frame, and a directly advancing movement mechanism which directly and unitedly advances the first lens frame and the second lens frame in the approach and separation position. A direct advance guide clearance in the first lens frame direct advance guiding mechanism is set larger than a direct advance guide clearance in the second lens frame direct advance guiding mechanism.
