PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross-linked polyethylene electric cable manufacturing method which is improved to reduce cost, with excellent extruded appearance by preventing generation of fragments in extrusion, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A cross-linked resin composition is generated by mixing silangrafted polyethylene and silanol condensing catalyst. This resin composition is extruded using a extruder into a tube shape. And around a tube-shaped resin composition, polyethylene is extruded to form a skin layer, the crystalline melting point of which ranges from 120 deg.C to 130 deg.C, using another extruder. The tube-shaped resin and polyethylene together with the conductor are pulled down compulsively using a pull down measure to contact together so that each outer diameter of coating is smaller than the diameter of each extruder used, and through water or water vapor to make above-mentioned resin composition cross-linked.
