PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which suppresses dark attenuation after long-term use and can enhance sensitivity, a method for producing the photoreceptor, an electrophotographic process cartridge and an electrophotographic device. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a substrate and a photosensitive layer disposed on the substrate, the photosensitive layer has a layer containing an electric charge generating material and a high molecular compound containing a constitutional unit of formula (I) (where R1-R3 are each H, alkyl, fluorine substituted alkyl, bromine substituted alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, an acidic group or an ester group but at least one of R1-R3 is the acidic group) and having an acid value of 0.1-15 and a molecular weight of 100-100,000.
