PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure sensor realizing high productivity and having leads with excellent reliability of their connection to an external apparatus, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: In this pressure sensor, a housing 1 made of a synthetic resin material is formed with the leads 2 connectable to a circuit board C insert- molded therein while a semiconductor-type pressure sensing element A is disposed on a rest part 1A provided in the housing 1, and the circuit board C can be electrically connected to the sensing element A by electrically connecting the leads 2 to the sensing element A via wires E. The leads 2 have a first connection part 2A electrically connected to the sensing element A and a second connection part 2C exposed along a bottom surface 1D of the housing 1 and having an end part reaching the periphery 1F of the housing 1.
