PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilating device suitable for a comparatively small capacity and free from waste of heat that has been experienced in a conventional ventilation method wherein a large quantity of heat in a room is thrown away by discharging air in a room one-sidedly. SOLUTION: The ventilating device is formed that a permeable metallic heat storage apparatus 3 is incorporated at one end of a cylindrical body 2, a fan 4 operated forward and reversibly through operation of a timer 7 and a change-over switch 5 is situated in its inside position, the quantity of heat removed from a room during exhaust is stored at a metallic heat storage apparatus 3, and the loss of the quantity of heat removed by discharge during suction is prevented from occurring. Further, instead of the timer 7, a temperature sensor 8 and a controller can be used.
