METHOD OF IDENTIFYING NUCLEOTIDE POLYMORPHISM

It is intended to provide the following two methods: a method for identifying a nucleotide polymorphism contained in a nucleic acid sample which comprises treating a nucleic acid sequence containing a specific nucleotide polymorphism site in a sample simultaneously or separately with a wild type-specific primer and a polymorphism-specific primer, elongating these primers by DNA polymerases, and detecting the lengths of the elongation products of these primers or complementary strands thereof; and a method of simultaneously identifying two or more nucleotide polymorphisms contained in a nucleic acid sample which comprises treating a nucleic acid sequence containing two or more specific nucleotide polymorphism sites in a sample simultaneously or separately with two or more wild type-specific primers and two or more polymorphism-specific primers respectively corresponding to the nucleotide polymorphism sites, elongating these primers by DNA polymerases, and detecting the elongation products of these primers or complementary strands thereof.
