The clutch device is operated by a pressurised medium force cylinder which has an actuating piston (110a) displaceable on a cylinder wall (62a) and engaging with same through a sealing assembly which has a separate seal holder and at least one sealing element (112a) which is held by same. The seal holder can be attached to the wall or to the piston through force locking or keyed engagement. The clutch assembly is preferably a multi-plate clutch.
