<p>A screw placement guide (100, 1000, 3000, 3300) includes a first member (102, 102a, 102b) having a first guide (116, 120a) adapted to contact a first vertebral bone portion (V1) and a second member (104, 104a, 104b) having a second guide (120, 116a) adapted to contact a second vertebral bone portion (V2). A clamping mechanism (106) provided on one of the members clamps the first guide (116, 120a) and the second guide (120, 116a) to the vertebral bone portions (V1, V2). The first guide (116, 120a) and the second guide (120, 116a) are aligned in order to indicate how a fastener will be aligned when fastened between adjacent vertebrae (V1, V2). A driver (108, 108a) engages clamping mechanism (106) to clamp the two members together.</p> |
