<p>A device for searching for desired musical composition data from a large amount of musical composition recorded on a large-capacity recorded medium. The device comprises memories (11, 12) where musical composition data is stored, a rhythm input section for inputting the rhythm pattern of a musical composition, a searching section (18) for searching for musical composition data stored in the memories (11, 12) according to the inputted rhythm pattern, a display section (239) for displaying information concerning the musical composition that the searching section (18) has searched for. The searching section (13) searches for registered rhythm patterns stored in the memories (11, 12) and similar to the inputted rhythm pattern, searches for content data corresponding to the registered rhythm patterns, and selects data on a content from the content data according to the user input.</p> |
