摘要 Contact sensor, especially for detection of obstructions for an autonomously moving robot, in which the whole device is surrounded by an outer shell, with movements of the shell relative to the device detected using an optical sensor. Advantageously the shell is resistant to moment forces that would cause it to rotate about an axis. Hence the optical sensors are very accurate.
