The device includes several applicator rollers (24a, 24b) and drive wheel (23) forming a tension roller. A guide roller (25) for the belt or chain drive (22) is mounted on the side of the workpiece plane (W) spaced from same and facing the applicator roller. At least two applicator rollers are driven in rotation so that each is associated with a separate belt or chain drive. A drive roller connected rotationally secured to each driven applicator roller forms a tension roller contacting the outside of the chain drive when the form members are fitted in at the ends.
