HALOGENATED RUBBER COMPOSITION AND VULCANIZATE THEREOF

A halogenated rubber composition which comprises 100 parts by weight of a halogenated rubber and incorporated therein 0.5 to 30 parts by weight of an amorphous compound selected from the group consisting of an aluminum hydroxide gel and the silicates of metals in Group 1 or Group 2 of the Periodic Table. Use of the halogenated rubber composition enables a vulcanizable rubber composition to have a prolonged scorch time and greatly improved storage stability.
