The invention relates to the production and processing of hydrocarbon raw materials with the aid of microorganisms. The inventive method consists in producing petroleum hydrocarbons from solid fossil fuels and oil tars obtained by distillation of coal, turf, sapropel, sapropelites, slates, wood and other raw materials. The inventive agent for breaking up and hydrogenating a feed stock comprises a composition of bacterial cultures of the Thiobacillius aquaesulis species and/or Thiosphaera pantotropha species in a biologically acceptable medium used in any combination thereof. The feed stock is treated with said agent in the presence of a hydrogen donor preferably in a reaction mixture at a temperature ranging approximately from 4 °C to 60 °C and pH of 6 to 9. The compositions chosen from a group containing acids, phenols, naphtalene, tetrahydronaphthalene and cresol are used as the hydrogen donor. When a raw material with pH equal to or less than 5.5 is used, a composition containing Thiobacillius thioparus bacteria is added to the reaction mixture.
|
