A rubber seal surrounds the zone between an automotive wheel hub and bearing. The seal is an elastic bush (13) one end of which rests against the outer surface (47) of a cylinder extension (29), covering a locking ring (36). The other end of the bush seals against a ring on the wheel hub (11).
