<p>A cooling system for the brake resistors of electrically driven vehicles, especially rail vehicles, consists of an air/liquid heat exchanger (1) which surrounds the brake resistors (1). Preferably, the heat exchanger is formed by a cooling body (5) with cooling channels (7) for passage of cooling liquid, especially a water/glycol mixture. The resistors (1) are preferably insulated by ceramic and/or mica sheets (3, 4) and consist of a high thermal conductivity material, especially aluminium oxide.</p> |
