RECORDING MEDIUM, REPRODUCING DEVICE, AND TEXT DISPLAY METHOD

PURPOSE: A reproducing device is provided to record/reproduce A/V(Audio/Video) data and text data related to the A/V data, and to display text, thereby reducing delay caused by a transmission of a font file. CONSTITUTION: If an operation command is inputted through a user interface(11), a servo(13) receiving a control command from a system controller(20) servo-controls a pickup unit(12). The pickup unit reads each of data recorded on an optical disk(10). The system controller stores read font data and sub font extracted information in a memory(21), and reads sub font data from the sub font extracted information to transmit the read data to a display device(30). The system controller transmits read A/V data and text data to the display device via amplifying/decoding/error-correcting processes. The display device reproduces the A/V data and the text data. The display device displays the text data to be reproduced with the A/V data by using the transmitted sub font data.
