PURPOSE: Structure of a hydraulic-turbine type water pump is provided to improve discharge performance of the cooling water by minimizing the formation of a turbulence, to prevent the damage on a water pump due to the high pressure of the cooling water, and to solve such problems of noises and water leakage. CONSTITUTION: A pump body(10) has an inlet(11) and an outlet(12). An impeller(13) is formed in the pump body. A ball bearing and a seal for easy rotation of the impeller are formed in both shafts of the impeller. A drain hole is formed on the upper face of the pump body. A bent plug(15) having a groove(15a) is connected to the drain hole. The seal prevents the leakage of the cooling water. Since the inlet and the outlet of the pump body are formed on the same line, a turbulence of the cooling water is avoided.
