PURPOSE: A method and a system for managing a credit card using a communication network are provided to prevent the illegal use and the stealth of a credit card by receiving the credit card information from a credit card user through a communication network and confirming the credit card use history by the user. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a user terminal(100) to manage the use history of a credit card via a communication network(1), at least one credit card company servers(110) to transmit the credit card use history to a main server(120) from an affiliated merchant, a data storage(130) to store the credit card use history transmitted from the credit card company server by using a use history information database(130b), and the main server to manage the information stored in the data storage, to receive the credit card information of a user via the communication network, to store the use history transmitted from the credit card company server in the data storage, and to transmit the use history to the user terminal.
