METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING TAB IN UPLINK SYNCHRONOUS TRANSMISSION SCHEME SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for transmission a TAB(Timing Alignment Bit) in a USTS(Uplink Synchronous Transmission Scheme) system is provided to enhance the performance of a TAB in order to maintain a USTS in a soft handover area. CONSTITUTION: Each radio frame is composed of 15 slots, slot #0 through slot #14. A TFCI bit in each slot contains information for a dedicated channel. One or more TABs are transmitted to the fourteenth slot of each radio frame through the dedicated channel. In case that the transmission frequency of TABs has been increased in a soft handover area, the increased transmission frequency is also applied to an area irrespective of the soft handover area.
