PURPOSE: A lever apparatus of an automatic transmission is provided to operate conveniently with simple structure, and to cut down manufacturing expenses by reducing parts and process. CONSTITUTION: A lever of an automatic transmission is composed of a lever moving groove formed in the upper part of an indicator panel assembly(30) with a speed range display unit; a selector lever(60) turning around a hinge shaft(50) in the lower part of the transmission, and having a shift knob(64) including a push button(62) for moving along the lever moving groove; +- shift switch parts(70,72) installed in the transmission; and a guider(80) actuating +- shift switch parts selectively by moving back and forth with the selector lever at the drive range. The selector lever is moved back and forth by using the push button, and shifting is performed with operating switches selectively. The lever is operated conveniently with simple structure, and manufacturing cost is reduced.
