<p>The animal management system for managing animals is provided with at least one computer in which per animal identification information together with at least one associated property information parameter about predetermined properties of the respective animal, such as age, milk production, lactation stage and sex, is stored. In the computer system, groups of animals are stored, in which, on the basis of predetermined criteria, particular animals meeting these criteria are classified. In the computer system for each group at least one passage criterion is stored which is to be met by at least one property information parameter of an animal for the respective animal to be classified into the respective group. The system is further arranged to classify the animals into the groups in an automatic manner with the aid of the computer system by testing for each animal the at least one property information parameter of the respective animal against the respective passage criteria of the groups.</p> |
